Lectors

Trained Lectors proclaim the Word of God in the first two Scripture passages at Mass.   The book from whcih they read is called the Lectionary.  Lectors at Sacred Heart Parish are also called upon to read the Prayers of the Faithful  preceeding the Offertory and to present the parish announcements at the end of Mass.   Anyone who desires to be a lector, should contact Fr. Cole.

Mass for the Homebound

For the benefit of the homebound, we are making a video recording of our weekend Mass, usually the 10:00 AM. This may also serve to educate non-Catholics who may tune in as to how we celebrate the Mass. The recording schedule will typically not vary.  The recorded Mass will be broadcast on the following Thursday on the Oberlin Cable Co-op, channel 9, at 1:00PM and 8:00PM.
